1. The majority of dogs don’t drink enough on walks
Dogs don’t have the option to drink much while they are out on walks, you may bring a normal water bottle with you. But, this can be difficult to use and most of the water ends up on the floor, so your dog ends up not getting enough water.

1. Water helps dogs function
Water facilitates every metabolic process that occurs in a dog’s body. Water helps your dog digest food, think, breathe in fresh oxygen, and pulse blood through their veins.
Blood is mostly water, getting nutrients to the body requires water. Your brain and muscles need water to work well. Water is the heart of everything.
2. Water flushes toxins
As water flows through your dog’s body, it transports beneficial oxygen to thirsty cells whileclearing harmful toxins from her system. Without water, the exchange doesn’t occur, and those toxins could build and do damage to vital organs, including the dog’s heart and kidneys.

Dehydration in dogs is a common, potentially life-threatening condition. It’s the result of not drinking enough water and electrolytes or losing too much fluid. It requires immediate veterinary attention. If left untreated dehydration can cause serious organ damage and even death.
If your dog is already dehydrated, depending on the severity of the case you may be able to rehydrate them and get them to recover. But, in serious cases, they may need emergency attention. The key is to prevent them from dehydrating in the first place.
Offering your dog plenty of fluids will prevent dehydration unless the condition is due to severe illness. How much water does my dog need to drink?
It is recommended that they drink 1 oz of water for every 1 lb of weight. This means your 40 pound dog should be drinking 40 ounces of water each day, and more with exercise!
What if my dog does not like it?
We believe it is impossible for a dog to not like the water bottle and not want to drink out of it. As any dog will drink out of anything as long as it has fresh, clean water in it. Many dogs really enjoy using it on-the-go, they still drink from their regular water bowls when at home.
